Bio:
Throughout his consulting and coaching career, Paul has helped people get moving. He’s known for helping people assess their current state, define goals and outcomes, then build plans and move to action. Helping people get unstuck is what helps him get unstuck - which is why he became a life coach and built Off the Comma. Paul’s interest in the ICF Chapter stems from a strong bond with other coaches in the area and a desire to contribute in a meaningful way. As Director of Strategic Partnerships on the board, Paul plans to expand the visibility of the chapter within the greater Sacramento community and help raise awareness of the profession. Paul is an ACC, has an MBA, and a CPTD credential in the Talent Development profession. He loves heights, travel, animals, physical activity and is stretching himself this year by saying “yes” to things that scare the heck out of him.

Bio:
Amy Shuman, MA, PCC, serves as the Executive Director of Staff Coaching and Professional Development for the Division of Student Affairs at UC Davis. She is a Gallup certified Strengths coach, a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, and was the ICF Sacramento Chapter Board President in 2022. She leads workshops and coaches employees to help them maximize their potential. She holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from University of the Pacific, and is passionate about empowering people to create a positive workplace culture.

Amity DeJong is an award-winning strategic planner with two decades of training experience. In her various positions as a strategic planner, team leader, project facilitator, and trainer, she found that coaching is the connecting passion. She launched her coaching business, Heart of Possibility, to leverage her expertise to partner with individuals and teams to fulfill their potential and optimize innovation. Amity’s playful approach is designed to help people and teams get beyond their road blocks and consider what’s possible. She has an MS in Organizational Psychology, holds certifications in Business Process Improvement (LSSBB) and Business Process Management (BPM) as well as her Associate Coach Certification (ACC).

Bio:

Katie Kanowsky is a dynamic educator, business consultant, and focus coach. She combines her expertise as a coach and cognitive scientist to help clients find their strengths and passion, then integrates them to create the life and work they love. Her passion is to help children and teens in the public education system learn to harness this information in their formative years instead of after having chosen a life path. Her mission is to create a sustainable psychological support system within the public education system that serves all individuals at the school site, helping them grow into their unique potential. She earned her BS in Organizational Behavior and Leadership at the University of the Pacific, completed coach training through University California, Davis, and holds multiple certifications in the coaching field, including Values2Wellbeing, HeartMath, and Sovereign Mind.

Priya Venkatesan works as a Business Systems Analyst at UC Davis. She has a master’s in computer applications, a Certified Scrum Master and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Priya is committed to driving process improvement and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Priya is a passionate advocate for women’s career resurgence, volunteering her time to mentor and guide individuals back into full-time careers. As a Lean In Circle Leader, Priya facilitates a supportive and empowering community for women to connect, learn, and grow both personally and professionally. In this role, Priya creates a safe space where members can openly share their experiences, challenges, and aspirations, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Bio:

Tami Hackbarth is a life+work coach, speaker, author, podcaster and Fair Play Facilitator. She works with women who want to get their time and energy back so they can create the world they want to live in. Tami began her career working in politics after graduating from UC Davis. In her mid 30s, she began her second career as an elementary school teacher. It was in her work as a teacher, she found herself physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted. These were the beginning signs of burnout. In response, Tami began practicing 100% Guilt-Free Self-Care. It completely changed her life - in and out of the classroom.

 

Now Tami dedicates her work as a Life+Work Coach to helping others change their lives through 100% Guilt-Free Self-Care and the Fair Play Method. She is a certified Life+Work Coach through UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education, a Fair Play Facilitator through the Fair Play Policy Institute, coaches professionals privately all over the country and through her group coaching program Deferred Maintenance.

Donna Justice, PCC, has more than 30 years of experience in leadership, communications, and mentoring. Relationships are central to Donna’s life and the lives of her clients. Without healthy and joyful relationships--with partners, family, friends, and colleagues--most of us cannot excel in any of the most important areas of our lives. Donna has been married for 32 years, has raised two creative adults, and has led teams of diversely talented communicators. Leveraging her personal experience and extensive training in interpersonal communications and evidence-based practices, Donna helps clients face their fear of conflict to have courageous conversations for authentic, honest, and fulfilling relationships. In her coaching sessions and workshops, she offers a broad perspective along with practical tools and tips for forging deep connections with others while also remaining true to ourselves. Donna received her coach training from UC Davis in 2018 and holds a Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coaching Federation. She has coached over 500 individuals and dozens of couples on their quest to build strong rapport with the people most important to them.
