Biography
Carina Celesia Moore currently serves as a visiting instructor at the University of the Pacific, Benerd College, Master of Arts program in Leadership, and teaches the “Coaching for Organizational Contexts” course. She retired in 2020 from University of California, Davis, as Director of Talent Management and Development, where for over two decades, she was responsible for learning and development strategies for over 30,000 employees at both the UC Davis campus and the UC Davis Health campus in Sacramento. Carina has extensive experience in program development and delivery, leadership development, coaching, career development, and worklife. Since 2004, Carina has been an active member of the Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO) serving in many roles including board member, conference speaker, faculty at the Business Management Institute, chair of the Mentoring Program, and chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She served as an instructor at UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education for 19 years and has served as part-time faculty at CSU Sacramento in the Graduate Career Counselor Education Department. Carina attended Stanford University’s Teaching and Learning Studio at the “d.school” and enjoys incorporating design thinking into her work. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF), Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) through the Association for Talent Development (ATD), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and holds a Master’s degree in curriculum and teaching from Columbia University Teachers College in New York City.
