Many individuals on the autism spectrum – including those with college degrees – struggle to choose the right job or career and get hired. Coaching has much to offer if you understand how to adapt traditional models to the needs of this neurodivergent population.
This presentation offers practical strategies for guiding these clients to manageable employment.
You will learn:
* How autism impacts adults in the workplace.
* Communication, executive function and sensory processing challenges.
* Strengths associated with those on the spectrum.
* Assessing coaching readiness, building rapport and creating realistic action plans.
The presenter shares insight developed during her work with more than 1,500 clients. The emphasis is on assisting individuals seeking competitive (not sheltered or heavily supported) employment.
