Subject: A New Year, New Opportunities: Let’s Lead Together
From: Katie Kanowsky

Hi ~~first_name~~,

As we began this year, I intentionally waited before addressing the chapter to better understand the environment and challenges we are stepping into together. Based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s clear that this year will bring significant transitions for our communities, the clients we serve, and ourselves. These shifts present challenges, and they also create opportunities for us to rise as leaders, deepen our impact, and support one another in meaningful ways.

As Coaches, we are uniquely positioned to work with individuals facing life-altering uncertainty and conflict in the workforce and beyond. We have the tools to hold space for growth, transformation, and resilience.

Now, more than ever, we must embody the values and ethics of ICF by treating all people as whole and capable, honoring their voices, and helping them realize their potential. By staying grounded in our profession's mission, vision, and values, we can create a ripple effect of positive change.

This month, the board will come together to plan for the year ahead, and your voice is a vital part of that process. I would love to hear from you: What is most important to you this year? Your insights will help shape the events, programs, and opportunities we create to serve and support our community.

To kick off this year with intention, I’m thrilled to invite you to our February monthly meeting: For the Love of Coaching on February 11th, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Pacific. This event will celebrate the heart and purpose of coaching, offering a space to share what is important to you this year, connect with fellow members, reflect on our shared values, and prepare for a year of growth and transformation. Together, we’ll strengthen the bonds of our coaching community and explore how we can navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Additionally, I hope you’ll join us for a Sunset Stroll with the Cranes this evening at the Cosumnes Preserve. This is a beautiful chance to connect with fellow members, enjoy the natural beauty of our region, and further build the sense of community that makes our chapter so special.

As your chapter president, my vision for this year is twofold: to foster community and connection, and to help us stabilize and thrive through these times of transition. Together, we can ensure that our chapter remains a safe and supportive space where coaches can grow, learn, and collaborate.

Let’s lean into the ethics and principles that guide our work, using them as a foundation to lead from wherever we are and to support our clients and each other with compassion and purpose.

Thank you for being part of this community. I look forward to hearing your thoughts, seeing you at our upcoming events, and working alongside you to make this a year of connection, adventure, and transformation.

With Gratitude and Blessings,
