President's Message

November brings gratitude front and center, so I would like to use this space to highlight some of the things I am thankful for, related to our ICF Sacramento charter chapter:

  • Gathering together at the Fall networking event

  • The lovely coaches’ cafes and chances to chat

  • Great book recommendations and continuous learning

  • The amazing volunteer service of our board, committee members, Ignite coaches, and all those who spend their time to advance coaching

Next month we have another great chance to come together as a community at the holiday party on December 13th, and we hope to see you there to celebrate together!

Ignite Pro Bono Coaching Update

A big THANK YOU to the 30 ICF Sacramento coaches who recently completed six-month coaching engagements with leaders and staff of the CA Partnership to End Domestic Violence. As the sole statewide voice for victims of family violence, CPEDV works with policy makers, advocacy organizations, civil and criminal justice professionals, child protective service workers, law enforcement and others to provide aid to domestic violence victims.

We’re thrilled to have helped accelerate the impact of these compassionate leaders dedicated to social change. Here are a few client comments from our end-of-coaching survey:

“Coaching made me a better leader who is more confident in my own abilities and able to set boundaries with our leadership. My interactions with my team have improved as a result.”

It helped me figure out ways to make sure everyone feels seen and heard and foster a team environment. It helped me learn techniques and skills to be less critical of myself. I feel like I can champion and support myself more than before with the new skills I learned.”

“I have a greater sense of direction and intention when it comes to doing my work. I can better plan out my actions and prepare for changes. . . I have an overall greater sense of accomplishment and satisfaction with my work.”

If you’d like to volunteer as an Ignite coach, keep an eye out for the Coaching Volunteer Form coming to your email before year-end.

ICF Global News & Resources
2022GlobalGivingTuesday

Join the Global GivingTuesday Movement

Throughout the month of November, we're inviting you to be a part of something awesome! The ICF Foundation is joining with nonprofits around the world for GivingTuesday, a global generosity movement that is happening on Tuesday, November 29.

But you don’t have to wait until November 29 to make a gift! You can donate now or any time throughout the month of November. Every gift — every peso, pound, euro, rial, franc, rupee or dollar — makes a difference and affects positive change!

Because of you and your support, more individuals worldwide will have access to education, food and other resources; experience less injustices, more equity, and improved health outcomes; and so much more.

The ICF Foundation, and those we serve, sincerely appreciate your generosity!
