President's Message

One of our pillars of ICF Sacramento is to provide opportunities for coaches to connect.  The last two years have been challenging, and have required us to re-think the ways we can gather, and the ways we build relationships.

Our board member challenge this month was to reach out to at least one fellow member we did not already know well.  The connection could be over phone, video, or even in-person where possible.

I was happy to spend some time with our membership Director, Lisa Laughter.  Lisa is constantly learning, reading, and absorbing all the professional development opportunities she can. I loved hearing about how she empowers her clients to lead joyful lives full of intention, purpose, deep gratitude, and balance. Lisa is really excellent at celebrating others, so I would like to acknowledge and celebrate her!

I extend an invitation to you to take part in the challenge as well.  All you have to do is reach out to a fellow member or

board member and introduce yourself this month.  Bonus points if you take a photo and post about the experience on

social media (don’t forget to tag us, if you do!).

Member Spotlight

I recently had the good fortune to interview Gayle Guest-Brown, PCC, MBA, PMP about her experiences as an ICF coach.

Click here to watch the video interview.

Gayle is the CEO of Guest Brown Impact, serving executive leaders across the Sacramento region for over six years. The ICF Sacramento chapter is lucky to have her as a veteran member of four years and counting!  Believe me when I say that with Gayle’s breadth of expertise and coaching chops, you’ll want to connect with her and learn as much as I did!

Don’t Forget: ICF Communities of Practice Offer CCE Units

ICF Communities of Practice (CPs) are a great way to earn Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units for your Credential renewal, as well as continue your professional development and connect with fellow coaches.

CPs provide a virtual venue for coaches with a shared interest in a specific topic to advance their professional development; deepen their subject-matter expertise; and share best practices, emerging trends, tools and tips. And our CP Leaders facilitate these sessions to promote learning and discussion.
